So Close - Sexy Merrell Men's WaterThese are just okay as they are but if they were available in a wide size they would have fit me much better. The 'regulars' are quite narrow compared to other shoes I have purchased. I was going to use them for regular walking shoes at work in the hospital since they are vented so nice and are as close to a sandal as you can get without wearing a sandal (not allowed at our hospital) and my feet get hot. Others had described how padded they were on the inside - maybe compared to other water shoes they are nicely padded but not compared to my regular inexpensive Sauconys. After I figured out that they won't work for what I bought them for I did wear them out on the boat a few weekends ago and waded around in them on the beach. They are okay for that but are more shoe (expense-wise)than necessary for that purpose. I am thinking I will maybe try getting a nice insert for them to see if that makes them usable for my intended purpose.
